This pics says it all......

I was there and this sums up the feelings of everyone in the stadium during the game...except the ULM sideline, that is.

But hey, Bama. Look on the bright side,

there will be no more fumbles from this guy:

or tackles either for that matter I guess.

That's right...he has moved on to salad tossing 101. He fumbled the ball of life and the only balls he will need to be conderned with from this point forward will be on his chin.

How did Bama lose that game? seriously?

Turnovers deep in their own territory, did someone important get hurt? bad officiating?

They just got straight up beaten. There were no critical turnovers that resulted in TDs (ala Miss. St. & LSU). There were no bad officiating calls. There was a major injury to Javier Arenas, but the game was already headed to the "L" column before that happened. (that was the cherry on top of the L, losing arguably our most explosive player)

They couldn't complete a pass, couldn't convert a third down (were STUFFED on several short yardage situations) and were just out of synch and drag-assing all day. They only somewhat woke up LATE in the game when the crowd started really getting fired up and exhorting them to get pumped up, but it was too late. (Arenas was hurt shortly after)

The thing I'll always remember about that game happened before kickoff. My buddy and I were sitting in the stands watching the players warm-up when I motioned for him to look above the stadium. Circling in the air right above the field was a hawk. I said, "There's a bad omen, ULM's mascot is jinxing the field of play".....little did I know how prophetic that comment would be.

I remember when MTSU went down there and gave them a fight. Bama won 39-34, I believe

Bama almost lost to Houston last year too - or it was close anyway wasn't it.

I remember that UH was driving for either the tie or win late and ended up throwing a pick or something, right?

Bama last year seemed to play to the level of the competetion - good games against UGA, LSU, etc but then they laid some eggs too. (I guess the same could be said for us or any other team for that matter)

Alabama played like champions in the first quarter, rolling to a 23-0 lead. They played like chumps the rest of the way, being dominated by the 2-3 Cougars by a score of 24-7 over the final three quarters.

Saban is over rated period.

We lost to the Citadel one time and our coach was fired. If you are a middle of the tier SEC team and you lose to a ULM, LTU, Citadel, or whatever then you should be fired on the spot. If bama does not roll this year, they will roll Saban right out the door. Of course our coach could be their next --- SEC is soooo competitive....
