Without arguing the stupidity of what they did do, this clearly wasn't "armed robbery" in layman's terms. they didnt bust into a house or 7 11 and hold up the cashier at gunpoint.

They robbed people with a gun, that is armed robbery.

Uh what? They robbed a bunch of people of jewelry and cash at gunpoint.

Well, they didn't bust in. They were invited quests and decided to pull out guns and rob everyone on their way out the door.
