DENVER BRONCOS
A big body with a long wingspan and long stride. Some muscle already developed, but should only get bigger once in a college strength program. Measured 6-2 the spring before his junior season, but pushing 6-3. A natural pass catcher with good balance. Has the ability to not only win balls in the air, but also turn short routes into long gains. Can line up on the outside, but also work the slot. Speed a bit of a concern after running a 4.83 on the lasers, but has gone as low as 22.18 in the 200-meter dash which suggests he can get going once moving. Film backs that up. Should develop into a multi-year starter at the Power 5 level and has the chance to see meaningful snaps early on in his career given his size. Could be a future Day 3 pick in the NFL Draft.

Those highly ranked receivers from South Florida have been pretty good for the Tide.

Nobody being CB'd to Bama can sure change in a hurry. More coming.

There are like 15 Top 150 players in Miami alone this cycle, and it looks like the 3 Florida schools might land 1 or 2 of them.
Crazy

Miami shooting themselves in the dick for the last 15 years has been a big help to our wide receiver room
- Amari Cooper (Miami, Northwestern HS) (#45) (2012)
- Calvin Ridley (Pompano Beach, Monarch HS) (#12) (2015)
- Jerry Jeudy (Deerfield Beach, Deerfield Beach HS) (#21) (2017)
- Thaiu Jones-Bell (Opa Locka, Miami Carol City HS) (#143) (2020)
- Jacorey Brooks (Miami, Booker T. Washington HS) (#37) (2021)

Imagine what someone like Mario Cristobal could do with that amount of talent within spitting distance of campus.

He'd sign ALL of them. It'd be the State of Miami all over again.
I'm pretty sure they hoped they were getting poor man's Cristobal with Diaz, but it ain't the same.

It’s been an unmitigated disaster. Not sure Norvell or Mullen are good enough recruiters to penetrate that area either.
Would have never thought growing up that the day would come where the big 3 in Florida wouldn’t be able to lockdown the majority of the talent in state.

Yea, Mullen will sign some kids but he and his staff just aren't "lock down" types. They'll get some, but they'll lose a bunch too (Brooks was one they wanted pretty badly).
I'm interested to watch Norvell at FSU. I think he could have success there, but I don't know about his recruiting chops. Diaz is just a guy, I still don't get why Miami was so in a hurry to hire him other than he's Latino and from the city.
But yea 2002 me would never have guessed that FSU, Florida and Miami would be at best "good" recruiting schools and at worst irrelevant. It's just hard to fathom that FSU and Miami specifically have just been completely irrelevant nationally in recruiting for the last 2-3 years (Miami longer than that).

Excellent pickup. Bama's elite WR corps seems to be a fixture.

Cristobal wanted nothing to do with that shite show, he's gonna build the Clemson of the West Coast (playoff team in an arse conference)

Didn't Randy Shannon have a #1 ranked class?
