Coincidence in SECCG matchup numbers...

Crazy that Florida has been to Atlanta/Bham 12 times, and has played Bama 9 times. The same could be said for Bama, as they’ve also been to the SECCG 12 times.
LSU has been 6 times, facing Georgia on 4 occasions, but never facing Florida.
I guess for me, it’s odd that LSU and Florida, while both being consistently good, have never faced each other in Atlanta.
Similarly, although explained by Tennessee’s string of sucking, it’s crazy that Bama and the Vols have avoided each other in that game.

Probably because they face each other in the regular season while Georgia chickens out of that shite

This is why Georgia is like Oklahoma.
They play a somewhat weak schedule in the East with only a couple of good teams then get ranked high only to lose when it matters.

We play our required East games, and continue the the oldest rivalry in SEC history, who has been a lot tougher than Florida this decade.

It actually makes perfect sense. If UF beats LSU in the regular season or vice versa, the odds of the loser still making the title game are extremely slim. Same for UT Bama. It's really tough to make the SEC title game with more than one SEC loss. If you lose to your intra-division rival you essentially have to go undefeated for the rest of your schedule to make it to ATL.

There were 3 teams from the west who were ranked last year and we played 2 of them. There were 2 ranked teams from the East.

I'm probably forgetting one but the only rematches I can think of in the SEC title game are 1999 UF-Bama and 2017 UGA-Auburn.
