It’s different from communism. Most people use them interchangeably, but there is a major difference and true communism has never been achieved (not just never successful, it’s never been put into action).

Socialism is a political and economic theory that believes the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be regulated by the people, however, individuals can still own certain properties (land, houses, clothing, cars, stuff like that)
Back during the Industrial Revolution, when the workers were barely scraping by and the warehouse owners were wealthy as shite, it was believed that the workers would take over control of production and distribute it evenly, eliminating classes....the basis of socialism was founded on this idea that it would make everything better, because the people would give to each what each needed

That’s exactly how and why Hitler became of fame. Germany’s economy was in ruins... he brought prosperity and created hope. Many historians have twisted his beliefs and somehow developed a new philosophy known as progressivism. There’s clearly a difference, but politicians will never admit it.

Tell me about it.

They always run out of enough people to murder before they can establish communism. Happens every time.
