I would love to play tech, texas or am, but I can understand their reasons for not wanting to play us. Why would they want LSU to tap into their backyard recruiting?

SEC VS BIG 12

The SEC leads the Big 12 in all-time head-to-head match-ups with a 20-17-0 (.541) record.

I personally think it would be cool to play Oklahoma State. Good fans and we could tap into OU's recruiting base, which is pretty solid. But, that's UGA's deal now.

tech and UT always play horrible OOC schedules (Texas did play OSU, but that's about it)...why play LSU, get killed, and hurt recruiting?

As long as we're taking a step back in the time machine lets go back all the way to 1957.. Austin, TX the only time the Gamecocks and the Longhorns have met on the gridiron.. the Gamecocks won a stunning come-from-behind victory 27-21.. and according to King Dixon (SC RB at the time and the former SC AD who helped get us into the SEC) .. Texas hasnt wanted us to schedule us since that game

No, I knew he was screwing around when he changed from a ND fan to a Texas fan as soon as this thread started.

I will give it to the Big 12. There history is amazing. They are a great conference, they just happen to be in a slump right now. However, you must admit, in the past couple of years, the SEC has clearly been the dominant conference. But, things will change again and the Big 12 will rise.
