I'd say
1. Mississippi
2. Louisiana
3. Alabama
4. South Carolina
5. Georgia
6. Arkansas
7. Tennessee
8. Kentucky
9. Texas
10. Florida
11. Missouri
The last 3 are clearly at the bottom, although I'm not really sure how you rank them.

LA is French. Can't even add them to the list.

LSU's fans are at least as rednecky as Ole Miss fans, if not even moreso.

Exactly! They are not traditional Southern in any sense of the word.
Southern food is fried chicken, mashed taters, pinto beans and cornbred, not mudbugs and red beans.

The OT board exists for a reason.

If we’re going by Belles, Bourbon, and Bullets standards than #1 is either Georgia or South Carolina

Georgia, Arkansas, and Tennessee are way too low on your list, especially Georgia.

We might as well treat the SEC Rant like the OT board, since there are no sports nowadays.
This thread is somewhat SEC related anyway, since it's about SEC states.

True but you can still talk about stuff that has already happened in sports or talk about the future of SEC sports.

Arkansas gets cred for the arts. Poets, writers musicians, actors. And especially of all ball coaches. But a huge deduction for passing bland arse midwestern food off as southern. I’d put them half way. About how they season the pork chops.

Texas is last, cause we're not Southern. We're Texas, motherfrickers.
Screw you, we're from Texas

Certain states have regions that are as southern as you can get . South of the gnat line was a totally different state for AL and GA.

I’d definitely rank Tennessee above Arkansas

That’s because they’re from Texas.

Louisiana is one of a kind. The South runs through the northern part of Louisiana on its way from east Texas to Virginia. But southern LA is different from the South culturally and South LA contains a majority of the state's population.

What are we defining as "Southern"?
Louisiana is clearly different than the more Eastern states, New Orleans was cosmopolitan and European. And the Cajuns west of there were French. It's kinda hard to clump them in with Georgia, other than simply below the Mason Dixon line.
