At this point I wouldn’t be shocked if UA ended up with five or six new names for 2020-21

Way to bite the bullet and make the thread
Looks like weight wasn’t Hawkins problem

Cecil just said that means 5 or 6 folks not currently on the roster. That would mean a brand new team next year.

My guess as for the players that are gone:
Bolden (duh)
Hawkins (going out on a limb here)
Lewis
Forbes
Reese
And Petty is the “or 6” mention depending on whether he declares or not.

Galin Smith should be considered as a possible transfer also.

I think it’s possible, but Oats does seem to love the guy because he works hard. I’m probably the lowest on Galin of anybody on this board, but I can appreciate that Oats wants players who want to put in the work. Even if that player has zero talent for basketball outside of his size.

Ok so what are some things y’all want in the OP? Obviously as the schedule is released I’ll post the games and any transfers/additions......what else?
Posted on 3/13/20 at 6:58 pm to Bamafan18

We might be getting Beetle back. The NCAA is discussing giving Winter athletes another year of eligibility. I doubt it though because we did play the whole regular season

I doubt it will affect basketball.
Likely baseball, softball and maybe gymnastics.
Baseball will be highly affected by the MLB draft.
Softball and gymnastics should have everyone back.

What was his problem? I've been out of the loop the last couple days

What was his problem?
Seems like either he or Nate or both came to the conclusion that he couldn't cut it here. Wish him all the best, but this is basically like getting to replace a walkon with a scholarship player as long as we don't screw it up.
Hope this turns out to be Keon Ellis' spot.

He just can’t play at this level.
