Yep, thanks for checking. Social media today has got me thinking a whole lot about Anthony Jeselnik's "thoughts and prayers"

My son is a hospice nurse. I couldn't do it.

He never talks about "thoughts and prayers". He spends every weekend making sure that his patients are comfortable. He will sit bedside and listen to them. He says they know they are dying and most of them are OK with it. They don't want pity, they don't want their family to despair and have sorrow.

It's part of life and they accept it. He also said that one of the downsides of his job is dealing with the family. He's not there for the emotional aspects, he's there to care for the patient
