When they reached El Paso, Robinson told Bray to keep going. According to the report, when they came to the secondary inspection at the Sierra Blanca checkpoint, the Uber driver was asked to claim the marijuana and was told they would pay them.
The Uber driver refused the offer and told them they would not have driven the suspects had they known there were drugs in the car.
If convicted, Robinson and Bray could face up to 20 years in federal prison

It’s amazing Uber will drive you to the border but I can’t find one in rural Alabama.

Christ they’re stupid. Has Greg blown through all his money already? Pretty simple to just grow your own brother.

How in the hell do you not know there is 157 lbs of weed in your car? It’s not like they had it tucked in their arse. Did he also not have a nose because I’m pretty sure that much weed puts off quite an aroma

That’s essentially a car full of weed. What the heck were they storing it in?

Why not just invest in a dispensary in Colorado or somewhere like it?

How stupid do you have to be to try and smuggle that across a car patrol border?

A 6’8 320 black guy driving to Mexico and back is just gonna be suspicious anyways, let’s be honest here!

Ok, so upon reading further these two dumbasses were transporting weed from LA to Louisiana and for whatever reason decided to take a route through El Paso, crossed the border into Mexico and then got stopped by the border patrol trying to cross back into the US.

I mean, this has to be up for hall of shame stupid right?
"Nah man, driving the entire way through the US is boring. Let's take a detour into another country with the equivalent of a small adult worth of weed in the trunk."

i don't think they crossed the border, BP sets up checkpoints away from the border in some border towns

These checkpoints are located between 25 and 75 miles (40 and 121 km) of the Mexico–United States border along major U.S. highways; near the southern border of the contiguous United States. Their situation at interior locations allow them to deter illegal activities that may have bypassed official border crossings along the frontier.
