The fact that the talent is bad enough to lose to those teams early on but then improved (via coaching) to finish fairly well in conference play speaks towards how effective he’s been as a coach.

Who have you really beaten in conference play? Alabama and Mississippi State? The toughest games are all left to close out really still. If he goes 0-4 on that, still should be considered?

Kentucky
@ LSU
@ Auburn
Arkansas

No, he shouldn't. And we very much might finish 0-4.

Then again, it's not like LSU or Arkansas have been setting the world on fire, and Auburn is vulnerable, too.

@ Tennessee (15-12)
Missouri (13-14)
Georgia (14-13)
@ Alabama (15-12)
Mississippi St (17-10)

We haven't beat Kentucky (haven't played), Auburn (haven't played), Lsu (OT - Up 6 with <2 min left), Florida (Got our arse kicked).
