We will beat Clemson much like we did Tennessee last year.

I say BAMA by 21

Edited: Tonight to show that I called this August 7th. We will be Georgia in Athens.

Clemson will run all day on Bama keeping them off the field. Bama just don't have the defense to stop them. Just my opinion...

I hope that you are right - Go SEC

I think that this is going to be a tough game for Bama though. Clemson could be pretty good this year - they better be for Bowden's sake.

I don't think Alabama has the defense to stop Clemson's running game.

Why do you think this scoop? First game of the year at a nuetral site, I would expect both teams to be very fired up and ready to play. How does Bama beat Clemson by 21? Talent wise I say a toss up and same goes for coaching. So how does Bama blow them out in your opinion?

I say the game is a toss up and if I had to pick a side or make a line for the game, I would say Clemson by 2.

I think Terrance Cody will start on our defensive line this year and I think he will require a double team. He is a player at 6'6 385. His presence in my opinion is going to free up our linebackers more so than in the past. I think Rolando McClain is as good as any linebacker in the nation and will be the leader of our defense this year. I think we have several other llinebackers that will see playing time as freshmen much as Rolando McClain did last year.

I just think this one is our.

Also, our offensive line has the potential to be one of the top two in the SEC this year and JPW will be a third year starter. I think if our line can protect him ha may accomplish more than people think he is capable of. He is a good athelete but just needs some protection.

Takes more than two players to stop James Davis and CJ Spiller.

Well, I can't agree with the prediction, but I can agree McClain is pretty damn good. Kinda like Demeco Ryans as far as talent, leadership, and potential.

I'm sticking with a toss up decided in the final minutes. Bama needs to hope Cody is a serious run stopper and frees up the backers to make plays if they want to slow down Clemson's ground game.

And JPW does concern me some (as an AU fan that likes it a lot when Bama loses). He does have talent, just makes a lot of mental mistakes. Bama does have a solid line and should be able to protect him. I think Bama's running game is not very good because I am not impressed at all by Grant, Coffee and whoever else they try to run.

I think they will have less than 135 yds combined. Last year against there three top opponents they had less than 100 yds combined and their line was better.

clemson does have all 4 defensive backs coming back and that will be bad for us, they only allowed an aver of 188 yds passing all year last year.

Should be a good game but I think we will be in much better condition than Clemson.

i think clemson's time of possession will keep bama's offense off the field. they won't even try to run when they're so far behind. JPW has to be lights out passing for them to be close IMO.

Javier Arenas will be good for 7 on a punt return.

Probably the best return man in the nation.

Only reason I will root for Bama is the SEC, and people like scoop prove not every bama fan is a dumbass. That being said, I think Clemson wins big.

I think it'll be close.. Clemson has a nasty habit of playing to their opponents level... sometimes good sometimes bad..

For example in 2004 Clemson had a huge victory against Miami in the Orange Bowl.. the Clemson fans we're happy life was good in Anderson, SC. BUT the very next week the had devastating loss at the hands of Duke.

So I think it'll be close.. hoping 'Bama will come out on top (crosses fingers) As a Gamecock fan I have to pick 'Bama and people can say what they want about Clemson predicted to be the ACC Champs.. but if you look at the last few years they were supposed to have done that a couple of times by now.

And yes that was Dukes last win vs an ACC opponent.

Clemson is picked to win the ACC outright, I don't think Bama is the team that stands a chance of tripping them up. Clemson offense runs circles around Bama defense.

true...but they always jump up early in the polls before failing to oblivion...only to pull out a USC or FSU win late in the season to save Tommy's job.

It will be a close game.

2008 CLEMSON TIGER PREVIEW

2008 CRIMSON TIDE PREVIEW

I love the SEC, and will pull for anyone vs an OOC foe. However, I see this one 24-16 Clemson.

I guarantee that if SC would have gotten just one or 2 more wins during Tommy's tenure he would not be at Clemson right now.
