Ealy was the #12 overall player by Perfect Game and would have been a 1st round pick if he hadn't told teams he was playing football.
- 99.96% in 60 time (6.13 sec)
- 94.71% in 10 spl (1.53 sec)
- 99.08% in OF arm (96 MPH)
- 84.96% in Exit Velo (91 MPH)
- 89.96% in Max Barrell Speed
- 90.17% in Impact Momentum
- 85.87% in Max Acceleration
Bottom line, dude is a tool freak
Plumlee wasn't nearly as highly regarded as a baseball player. Perfect game ranked him the #92 best incoming freshman in the SEC this year (Ealy was #1).

Jerrion Ealy is a 2019 OF with a 5-10 192 lb. frame from Carthage, MS who attends Jackson Prep. Compact very strong and very athletic build. Outstanding runner, 6.13 in the sixty, has a sub 6.0 in him, ultra athletic and quick twitch. Dynamic raw bat speed, raw swing mechanics but unmistakable elite ability to drive the ball, big power potential from foul pole to foul pole, will benefit from more and more hitting repetitions. Very strong arm from the outfield that plays well in games, very accurate on line throws, centerfield speed and range with premium right field arm strength. Has all the tools to be an All-Star type player. Also an elite level running back and 4-star prospect in football, Mississippi FB player of the year. Good student, verbal commitment to play both sports at Mississippi. Selected to play in the 2018 Perfect Game All-American Classic.

I know his family...he didn’t tell them he was playing football. If he’d gone in the first three rounds, he was gone. He struggled mightily at the plate his senior year.
That said, we played well against high level competition the summer before in Chicago.
He’s definitely elite in the outfield and on the base path.
He’ll be a bottom of line-up hitter at Ole Miss this year and a liability at the plate. (Though nowhere near Hal Hughes level liability).

Compared to Mo Hampton who was the #23 player. His stats:
- 98.21% in 60 time (6.44 sec) Adv Ealy
- 99.44% in 10 spl (1.50 sec) Adv Hampton
- 96.68% in OF arm (91 MPH) Adv Ealy
- 95.99% in Exit Velo (96 MPH) Adv Hampton
- 92.64% in Max Barrell Speed Adv Hampton
- 92.39% in Impact Momentum Adv Hampton
- 83.42% in Max Acceleration Adv Ealy
no real point to the comparison just if anyone is interested
