So your premise is that the very first play of a drive determined the outcome of that drive.

And your premise is based upon a 2 choice option?

So our first half 7 play touchdown drive starting against Auburn with a run is an anomaly and that we should pass on the first play of the drive more often?

You are willing to ignore the other 52 plays in the game solely for the first play to key off a drive.
And you are criticizing someone else?

We went 3-and-out 9x vs. Auburn, and 7 of those started with a run.

We scored 3 TD's in that game, and in all 3 of those scores we threw on 1st downs.

So yes, I think we should be throwing on 1st down much more.
