Auburn was the only team to hold LSU under 30 points this season

And they did it at Tiger Stadium. My question is how? Did they just matchup well? Had a good scheme? LSU had an off day? Or did they just have a better defense than UGA/Clemson/UF/Bama?

Rained all week before. Field was a mess and falling apart as the game went on.
They are a very good defense. But, that sloppy field was the big impediment.

Great D line play that got pressure without blitzing.
Great Red Zone defense.
We still put up 500 but they kept us out of the end zone.

LSU sat on the ball, slowed down their offense. Sort of looked like the first quarter of last night's game

Best D-line they faced all season + looks they hadn't seen yet. Took them some time to adjust, but they did.
Still put up over 500 yards.

They definitely had a better defense than Bama. I don't understand where that defense went when they played Minn, though.

a few red zone gaffes that didn't happen in any other game this year. That's pretty much it. LSU failed to score in the RZ three times this season. Two were against Auburn and the third was last night when we took a knee

Have a down vote for posting shite like this the day after the biggest win in LSU history.
Some of you just can’t celebrate

LSU stats that game:
30 - 1st Downs
508 - Total Yards
321 - Passing Yards
187 - Rushing Yards
TOP - 33:02 (LSU) to 26:58 (AU)
LSU had 9 easy points on the board if their kicker didn't have the yips at the time and the field wasn't a sloppy piece of shite.

red zone interception, stopped at the 1 on 4th down... left some points on the field

The field was a mess, LSU had iffy red zone playcalling, etc.

We went for it on 4th down instead of kicking field goals.

Auburn had an amazing DLine that allowed them to put plenty of guys in coverage and still get pressure. But keep in mind, Auburn scored late to make it look closer than it was.

I think Auburn was the best D we faced for 4 quarters.

Easily Auburn's MVP this season.

It was probably the worst red zone play calling all year by the LSU coaches. They left a lot of points on the field.

Rode the defense all year because of shitty offense. It takes it's toll at some point. Even in that game, the defense was on the field for most of the first half.

auburn played amazing situational defense. we moved the ball all day long inside the 20’s but they did what they needed to do to keep us out the endzone
