Watching his presser on Finebaum...he owned up about his failure to recruit Etienne. Complimented both teams and QBs and pretty much sounded like a real dude. I want Clemson to win on Monday but if Clemson loses, I’ll be happy for Coach O.

O did not fail to recruit Etienne, however he did fail to land him. Les didn’t recruit Etienne, but when O took over he went after him. pretty sure LSU even offered before Clemson did.

LSU offered before Clemson did, think Etienne felt slighted in some way though maybe because they were a little late since he was in state and all.

Seemed to work out good for everyone in the end though.

Love Coach Orgeron….he's a fine man and a very good coach! I really like Burrow and the Tigers.

LSU's fans are a different matter, unfortunately.

I read a story on him recently in the WaPo of all places about growing up in Larose, LA and the whole culture of that part of Louisiana. Hard not to like the guy as a man and a football coach. He grew up the hard way. No silver spoon. Can’t help but love and admire someone who is “Down the Bayou.” It’s a unique and great part of America. Those people are my people.

I still don’t want LSU to win, but he’s a good man and helluva a football coach.

You can learn a lot about about Ed Orgeron just from the sound of his voice

Same on Dabo. Both of them are deserving.

I didn’t watch it but I can feel the same way. You got to admire Coach O with all the ups and downs of life he has been through. I am sure after he lost to Troy some LSU fans kind of wondered if they had made the right choice just us many Clemson fans had doubts about Dabo after three years.. Also I had the pleasure of having a couple conversations with Coach E when he was at Clemson and the tragedy he is going through got to feel for him and his family.

Sure I want Clemson to win but if they don’t I’m fine with Coach O getting to the mountain top. He deserves it.

Here’s to a hard fought game with I hope no injuries.

Actually, it was more the previous coach's fault Les Miles than it was Ed O's fault, but Ed O always goes out of his way to accept blame and even when it isn't always deserved.
