Sources: Georgia sophomore OL Cade Mays enters transfer portal, will stay in SEC East at Tennessee

Georgia sophomore offensive lineman Cade Mays has entered the NCAA transfer portal and plans to transfer to Tennessee, sources told ESPN. Mays, who played in all 14 games for the Bulldogs this past season, is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee. His younger brother, Cooper, signed with the Volunteers during the early signing period in November.

Can he play right away or does he have to sit out a year?

This would be like Trevor Lawrence transferring to Duke. Got to say. Makes zero sense for a guaranteed first rd pick next year.

From a career standpoint, this is a bad move. He's first round next year easy. Guess family outweighed that, which there's nothing wrong with that. Wish him luck. He's good player.

He looked rough at tackle in our bowl game, but played very well at guard for us. With your two young tackles and add Mays in at guard, Tennessee could have a really good Oline year after next. (That's thinking that Mays sits out a year for transferring, but who knows?)

I guess all of the "fuk Tennessee's" will be forgiven? Two short years ago Tenners wanted to hang the kid. If he does indeed end up at Tenner, he'll have to sit a year. Might change his mind about college football by then.

Seems strange that he would pass up a year of eligibility. Grades perhaps?

BOOM! Come, home ya, a-hole. We forgive you but you were still a little shite during recruitment.
