AE has had some downright bad games this year against good opponents. I think the announcers are right. At this point he is a NBA project. That being said. Everyone that had such high expectations because AE was the savior are now bitter that we're losing against better teams and he plays like shite.

He just takes a lot of bad shots. He has really good control in the air, and his upside is huge. It’s just frustrating because I feel like he should be imposing his will down low far more often than he does.

I hope he returns next season. I think another year of college ball would go a long way for him.

Not enough upvotes. Spot on as usual.

I do think it's a testament to what guys like Cal, Coach K, etc are able to do with freshmen every damn season operating as key contributors and not huge liabilities. It's a tough transition from HS when you can pretty much dominate from anywhere on the court, to college where you actually have to put some very real consideration into your offensive approach and how it benefits the entire team. The ill advised shots are so frustrating because they so often come with no real warning so no one is crashing the boards until it's too late. At least if there is an intent of, hey, I'm going to shoot early in the shot clock from range, guys can be fighting and jockeying for the rebound instead of clearing space.
