Tua: no way he’s ready by September, right?

I hope he recovers, I don’t care if he comes back or goes. I am however confused how anyone with such a serious injury could possibly be ready to play football (pro or college) by September.

I like watching him play. Just trying to understand all the “he’s coming back and gonna lead us to an NC” talk. Seems like wishful thinking.

Which is why everyone is curious about this mass return to school if he's not playing. Do they all want to play with Mac Jones that badly?

His healing and rehab will have to be 100% flawless between now and then. The big problem is they play UGA in week 3 so there will be no resting him. He won't be able to do legit SEC level strength/conditioning until August at best. Any slight setback and he won't play in September.

I’ve also read that he has an insurance policy,. I’d assume it’s against future injury. But you can’t really insure against “never really came back the same” and that’s a real possibility I’d think for anyone injured so severely. If someone is willing to give him guaranteed money while he rehabs and finds out if he can ever play at that level again, he should damn sure take it.

Honestly with the way UGA played against LSU I don’t see how they beat us. We have a proven QB and elite OL coming back, along with at least Waddle. Georgia has to break in a new OL, RB, and WRs

It's more than "seems like." The people thinking that he'll be back to Heisman level by fall are delusional as hell. It's much more likely that he never starts again than it is that he ever plays like he did before the injury.

Right but they will hit Tua. Their defense will always be physical. Bama was beating State's arse when Tua went down. It only take one shot.

How they played against LSU last year will have no affect on how they play in August/Sept of this year. Different team.

CJ Mosley had a very similar injury in the 2011 National Championship game and was back by the first game of the next season.

LSU fans (and others, too), don't concern yourselves with if, when or why Tua may be coming back, and if so, how he will be physically. All your opinions, hopes and assumptions aren't worth your, nor our time. It will be what it will be.

Georgia has Kirby and his offense too. There is no way they will beat Bama no matter who the QB is.

Uhhhhh, Mosley's injury wasn't anything like Tua's.

quote:

After an MRI exam, Mosley was told he wouldn't need surgery and that rehabilitation would help him heal. Mosley said that took only about a month of rehabilitation work. Even getting the hip back into the socket wasn't complicated — that was done on the field, before Mosley was taken off on a cart.

I remember that as a dislocation with no fracture. Just reread about it and initial prognosis for him was to miss 6 weeks. Initial prognosis said Tua wouldn’t be cleared to even do athletic activity for 12. Seems that was considerably less serious.

I can only imagine the narrative around the country if he trots out there again in the fall and gets hurt.
