You have nothing to hang your hat on. Its over. Been over and won't be coming back. A 7-5 season where you once again beat no ranked teams is not going to change that.

Only 10 short months until we beat your arse again.

Let's just hope the game doesn't mean anything. Otherwise you would choke.

It’s unclear how UT would do in a meaningful game, you haven’t played one in 2 decades

Seriously, it's not gonna stop until you win a natty. That's why you are so defensive. You know it's true

You would trade places with Georgia fans in a white hot nano-second. Georgia is a top 5 team. Tennessee lost to Georgia State. Tennessee struggled to 7-5 and the Taxslayer Bowl. Georgia has 12 wins and a Sugar Bowl victory. Your envy is eating you alive. Perhaps it's time for therapy.

And you haven't won a natty in four.

You seem upset. I guess I would be too if I hadn't seen a national title in my lifetime.

Uh, no. I like winning a national title in my lifetime.

So, you prefer 7-5, losing to Georgia State, and a dream appearance in the Taxslayer Bowl to a 12-2 season and a victory in the Sugar Bowl. Hmmm. That's a lot for a therapist to absorb.
Newsflash. A single national championship won when Hanson was popular doesn't make you relevant now.

I prefer it over a single national title when the BeeGees were popular.

Just curious how old were you when UT won it in 98?

It was my twenty-first birthday. How old were you when Georgia won their last national title?

And still... 1980

1980 may be effective in a month or so, but you got your arse pounded by Minnesota while UGA backups beat a talented Baylor so... shut the frick up for a bit.

I was 7. We aren’t too far apart in age. I can tell you this:

Neither of us are Bama fans, if NCs are the only thing you consider a successful season for UT, you will spend 99% of your life(and probably the rest of it) viewing UT as a failure.

When and if your team returns to competing for the SEC or winning Rose/Sugar Bowls..I hope you can enjoy it. You’ve seen enough to know it’s about as good as it gets for both our teams. Good luck to the Vols today. Pruitts coaching job post BYU has been impressive, so has his recruiting. If UT fans are patient you may get to attend a meaningless/doesn’t matter (your words/thoughts) SECC in the future and I for one think Vols fans deserve it after such a rough decade.

I'll just bet Georgia State's players were super impressed with your 23 year old national championship. That's all they talked about while they were running off of the field after beating Tennessee's arse.

Something that happened 21 years ago?

So you guys wouldn't be doing back flips and burning down Knoxville if you won a SECC without winning a NC?

But National Titles are really the only thing that does matter. That's why there were so many empty seats at the Sugar Bowl last night.

What was South Carolina thinking?

They thought, "Wow. We just beat a top 5 team. How did that happen."

When Georgia State beat Tennessee they thought, "Wow. That was a good win, but it's not like we beat a top tier SEC team. They're not even as good as Vandy. When is the last time they were bowl eligible? My parents tell me they were a good football school at one time. Hard to believe."

Over 15 players out.....and you fail to mention how many were not allowed to play due to disciplinary reasons and academic reasons.
Hmmm....
