I don't get excited about recruiting anymore as a uga fan. We have had so many 5 stars...and look what has happen. It all means nothing without great coaching. So, all this crap we are paying players is baloney!

It’s an imperfect science. But year in and year out top ranked recruiting classes means you probably have some serious players on your team. However there are tons of misses. It’s easy to see Georgia’s problem, talented players but conservative offensive scheme and play calling. You have to play to win and be able to score points in today’s game. Also terrible QB coaching all around, they let Eason and Fields walk, kept Fromm and didn’t develop him at all.

Right. Because so many teams in the playoffs this year are typically are out of top 10 in recruiting.
Just 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 10th 4-year average for the 4 playoff teams with the team sitting 1st playing in the finals the last two years and the team sitting 2nd playing in the finals one of those years.

I'm worried about Dawg fans. Now that reality has set in that Kirby is Richt 2.0 many of them seem to be hanging onto their sanity by a thread.

I don’t know. I’ve seen recruiting’s tape and it looked awful good on film.
