Yep, just a quick Google search leads me to think that an Auburn poster started it on tRant, but who knows where it first got pinned on LSU?

I actually remember how it all went down.

It was 2003, and it was on the DawgRant (I'm pretty sure it was the DR, it was the UGA board with the grass graphics on the edges) where a UGA fan adopted the post from a B12 board (I believe it was Nebraska/Iowa State) and changed it to LSU just before the SEC championship game. UGA fans dropped it pretty quickly after LSU eviscerated UGA for the title. It wasn't until the next year, 2004, when an Auburn fan picked it up off the DawgRant and posted it on the Tiger Lair board (and maybe Wayne's AU board, and probably the TigerRant) before the LSU/Auburn game. Unfortunately for LSU, Auburn won that game, and thus it stuck. I bet if LSU had beaten Auburn in 2004, we never would've heard about it again.

And THAT is how it actually happened, UGA fans were the first to apply "corndog" to LSU, not AU fans.
