That may be true, but William Quantrill and his raiders were slave loving, murderous shitheads and wannabe outlaws who committed the same types of atrocities as the Jayhawkers you so despise. That’s war for you though.

So, I'm just throwing this out here....I am told that William Quantrill is like a great-great-great uncle of my wife, or something like that.
kansas suks, just know they exist makes my skin crawl, can't stand them. Lawrence can burn again for all I care.

The big difference: Mizzou didn't name their mascot "The Bushwhackers" or "The Fighting Quantrills." kU actually did name their university mascot after domestic terrorists at a time when their victims' children were young adults. They have always been a classless institution.
