If I had to list the best 8 teams in the country and seed them for the playoffs:
1. Lsu
2. OSU
3. Clemson
4. Bama
5. Uga
6. Oklahoma
7. Penn st
8. Auburn
1. Lsu
2. OSU
3. Clemson
4. Bama
5. Uga
6. Oklahoma
7. Penn st
8. Auburn

Why would a three loss Auburn team get in over two, 2 loss teams that beat Auburn?

This year is a good example of why we don’t need to expand the playoffs. The top 3 are clearly better than the rest.
You could even give the #1 spot a bye this year and let 2&3 play to set up the NC game.

The Top 8 teams played this weekend in the unofficial first round of the playoffs. Who else earned a shot at the playoffs?
4 Georgia - Eliminated
5 Utah - GTFO
7 Baylor - Try again next year

Which 2 two loss teams beat Auburn that wasn’t on OPs list?

Are you stupid? Be honest.

Sorry my bad, I didn’t see UGA. But why would one two loss team that beat Auburn, not get in over Auburn?

I’ll take Florida for 1000 Alex

I don't think Georgia should be in, I don't mind the rest, would like to see Oregon in there maybe.
Georgia after the arse whipping they just took doesn't have much room to go against that either.

Jesus Christ that list sucks
And penn state? There wasn’t one game they played where i said “wow, this team looks like a top team”. Not one
I’ve seen Oregon or Wisconsin play some games where they looked really good

Because auburn is better than florida. In my opinion. Once you’ve lost two, I start factoring strength of schedule more. Florida played in the east, had they played a west schedule, they’d have lost 3

Why’d they lose to a team they’re better than.. in your opinion?

Exactly why we don’t need to expand the playoff. The more teams that get involved the more “gut feelings” and “eye tests” get involved.
If the on the field results don’t matter then why even play the games?

I think Uga is pretty good. They missed a couple plays yesterday that could’ve made the game much closer. Also, we are really good, much better than the beginning of the year.
Auburn is on the list Because they’ve improved offensively as the year has progressed. And no one has a better defense. Outta all the schools on the list auburn scares me the most.

Agreed. I'm still trying to figure out why the committee valued them so much. They finished with the same record as Minnesota, and lost to them head-to-head, but Penn State slips into the NY6 at #10, while Minnesota is ranked 8 spots lower.
It's as if teams got extra credit for losing to Ohio State.
