It wouldn't be a proper Arkansas coaching search without Butch's name bring floated by someone.

I seriously wonder if the radical side of the fan base will protest it at the PC or something

I'd take him over BLJ.

We do have the god damn most idiotic and selfish boosters in college football and that is saying something. They can all go frick themselves and rot in fricking hell if this or BLJ happens.

10 years ago this might have been a nice hire. At this point I'd prefer to take a chance on someone like Drinkwitz.

I wouldn't worry as much about this if fricking Feldman wasn't tweeting about it.

Just add it to the rest of the Razorback blood that has been spilt there this season.

Said he would be in the mix since the beginning and exactly what Arkansas needs this hire at this time.

Everyone was beating off over kidding and what he did at FAU which was impressive only because partridge was so inept. Scnellingburger had FAU on pretty solid footing. FIU has always been a dogshit program and Butch has them on really solid ground for that program.

He turned UNC around and was the scape goat to save their basketball program.

He revived Miami and had them rolling after sanctions.

Cleveland is a lost cause, he proved it is easier to beat cancer than win with the browns. Even billicheck couldn't win there.

For all of you who are going to melt down, he has 5-6 seasons left in the tank before retiring enough to rebuild the program get it on solid footing and then turn it over to the big name hire which isn't going to happen at this date, exactly what the program needs at this time.

Butch Davis will make Arkansas great again!

Honestly I’m not opposed to Davis. There’s something to be said about brining in a vet like him or Miles that knows how to run a successful program to right this ship. I’d much rather go that route than letting Lunney kick the tires on a brand new head coaching career.

Yeah I’d rather take a chance on Drink. How many coaches with Arkansas ties throughout history have gone on to have success elsewhere while never being HC here? I’m afraid Drink could be the next.

That’s a fair point too. May as well actually try the Arkansas guy for once. Of course knowing our luck, he’s the flash in the pan actually a beyond awful coach.

Or he could be another Chad Morris.

At least with Butch you know he's going to put together a sec level staff that can coach which is what this roster needs.

Does Drink have these types of connections? Because arkabsas's administration isn't going to help him assemble a staff by over paying assistants to come work for the huge risk/reward HC like LSU and Auburn have down with their most recent hires.

If we have to hire a retread just go and get skip holtz who is winning at nice clip in the same conference and significantly younger.
