Number 29 nationwide but could easily be top 25. Not as terrible as I would have guessed.

I think we've shown that as a fanbase we will support an AD that supports having a winner. The problem is over the last decade in BB and the last 5 years in FB the AD hasn't done that.

Yep. Some schools have fans that show up regardless (mostly in states where there is no other competition for the sports dollar). Mizzou fans truly embody the "show me" mentality.
If your product is crap, we will not attend.
If the product is exciting, we will attend.
It's really that simple.

Exactly.
We were planning on bringing my youngest to his first Mizzou game this fall (as he had shown that he is now able to sit thru a 3 hour sporting event), but after the Vandy and Kentucky games I said screw it let's just go to a hockey game.
For us to go to a game is a weekend long event, and I wasn't going to waste my money or time driving down there to have to sit thru a crap effort (it would have been the UF game so I was completely right). This wouldn't be a big deal if we lived in CoMo, but like a majority of the fans we don't live there.
As an aside, there happens to be a nice little population of Mizzou fans in the greater Chicago area.

It is much worse than that as we report tickets sold and not actual attendance.

These are stats for tickets sold. Not announced crowds, for all FBS programs. We were about 53k with a stadium capacity of 65k.
Here's the thing, number 25(about 55k)is about the best we can do because of stadium capacity and we are only about 2000 away even with a disappointing year.
