Based solely on rumor and tweets that we may get Mike Gundy. How would y’all feel about that hire?

Would be very happy with that but why would it take this long? Does his contract have something that changes in a few days?

The josh Cohen guy said that he will be officially announced sat. Yesterday he only put #arkansas #wps

Now he put #arkansas #lanekiffin #olemiss #WPS

I think he knows it is arkansas, and just adding OM because of the bs rumors.

Om insiders are backing off. Said norvell, and napier are still top of list. Now they are saying they don't know if lane was even offered. Boosters "have reservations" about him, and now he just likes OM better. No longer "he wants this job bad!"

Norvell FSU
Kiffin ark
Om Napier. Calling my shot

From the OM Board:

Poster on nafoom says Lane is going to Arkansas.

quote:

My source at UPIG (works in compliance in athletics there) says Kiffin is coming to Arkansas. Been a good friend for over two decades. A lot of the Ark people are confident it’s done and will be officially leaked after the FAU game.

The ones that are not caught up in the trolling/flaming have really slowed their roll on Kiffin.

Okay sounds like the majority still thinks it’s the Lane train. Sunday can’t get here soon enough!

I know outside fans will probably laugh but I think Drinkwitz would be a solid hire if that ends up being it

I'm not saying he wouldn't be. I just think he'd be a hard sell to the average fan. They can't try to sell again after Morris.

This is all just my opinion.

It would be easier than Morris was but still think they need a splash to get butts back in the seats.

Yeah, this is a big factor

There are certain coaches that would instantly get people back in seats from day one (Kiffin, Norvell, Gundy, etc.)

And there are certain ones that would have to show something before fans get excited again (Drinkwitz, Nappier, Clark etc)

Doesn't mean the ones in that second group can't do a good job here though.

That’s fair and I agree on a splash. In a normal hiring cycle Drink, Napier and Clark would be perfectly fine hires.

I'm fairly high on Clark. Think he could even be the best fit for us overall but I understand the importance of getting a good coach as well as a significant name.

Well, he already has two P5 wins and has a win vs a SEC opponent. More than our last coach could muster.

Also, we need a coach that's not afraid to voice expectations. Bobby P come in and told everybody that we need to talk about winning championships. He treated the team as if they were elite even when they qent 5-7 in his first season. The new coach is going to have to be a guy that can step in and make the team believe.

I am completely prepared to be underwhelmed, but will give whoever is hired a chance to prove HY a genius. So far, the Muss hire seems to be a very good move.

About the same for me but I go back and forth between him and Kiffin because I know one on paper can bring on a better staff which I think is overlooked alot.
