I do think Arkansas has hurt themselves by firing a guy after 2 years. Doesn't matter what we all saw on the field, that fact is going to be a scarlet letter for other coaches to look at.

It sucks, because Chad needed to go, but it has to hurt the Hawgs appeal to candidates. Maybe they end up just throwing more money at the right guy and it all goes away

no offense, but you don’t know what you are talking about.

Chad Morris wasn’t fired for losing games. He was fired because his team was not improving, team did not buy into his leadership (ie quit on him). If he could have lost the same games by a much better scoring margin, he would still be our coach.

In business, when you recognize you made a bad hire, you deal with it quickly as it will hurt your business long term. Same happened here.

I think posters really underestimate how cocky most of the coaches are

Besides that, I don't think the AD or fans want someone who is potentially scared of getting fired in two years after he shows no signs of improvement.

The next coach has a real leg up if he doesn't lose to a G5 school in year 2 by 5 TDs at home.

Didn’t Ole Miss fire Luke after two years?
