Oregon is bigger than the Blazers from what I can tell.

Well, Portland is the biggest metro in the state by far -- about 2/3 of the state population. You have a lot of non-natives like me. And of those who care about Oregon & Oregon State, it's probably about a 60/40 split in favor of the Ducks.
The Blazers are the longest running major sports franchise in Oregon. The Seahawks and Timbers are their only real competition in this market. The Mariners don't have a big following in Oregon. I can see where the Blazers would come out on top here.
