and here it is.. "A guy I know who knows his stuff who has no ties to Arkansas called me a little while ago. He has a close contact who is very well-connected in the coaching/agent community. The guy told him that Deion Sanders has interviewed for the Arkansas coaching job. Now for the plane-stop in Terrell (Texas) in yesterday's plan-tracking thread...That airport is approximately 45 minutes from Cedar Hill where Deion Sanders lives/has a house.
The deal with him being considered is that the Arkansas job may not be super desirable right now (this person's thinking), and while they're obviously looking at sitting head coaches (probably primarily), they may also be thinking outside the box on things like this...maybe just entertaining the idea. I like all of you would like to see a hire with minimal risk, and this would be a high risk high reward type deal. Hunter Yurachek even said himself that they're going to explore options beyond head coaches.
I'll say this on Yurachek, he seems to have a way of doing things and isn't going to just jump on a coach. He's going to conduct interviews and go through the process, explore his options, and that is exactly what I think is up right now, whether Prime Time has any merit or not. I think he did the same thing with the Musselman hire.
Sanders has deeply expressed interest in coaching at the collegiate level, though he has so far only coached in high school and football training academies. He was mentioned early on with the Florida State vacancy, but he said he hadn't spoken with them (at least at the time). I have heard FSU doesn't know what they're going to do right now.
Sanders has a big name obviously that everyone knows. Here's something from him when the FSU job came open:
“I have not spoken to anyone from Florida State regarding this,” Sanders said in an earlier interview with 247Sports. “But let me assure you, I am 100 percent, 100 percent desiring to coach at the next level, and I will.”
Here's another kicker. Here's what Jerry Jones has said about Prime Time.
"I've actually watched him coach," Jones said. "I've watched him work with younger players in the pros and he's outstanding. He has all the credibility that you could ever imagine, both from knowing what he's talking about, plus the sensitivity or the perception that he has with people skills."
Again, file this under rumor mill, though the guy who told me has been credible on other unrelated things in the past.
Final kicker:
Here's a picture of him with Danny West:"

Our BOT has problems with Kiffin, but they’re going to approve Deion Sanders? Ok.

I mean I'd be fine with him as a DB coach. He could probably recruit well
