Kaho leading the way
Kaho was the one who missed the block that doomed the play.

. If we can’t get 2 yards in 3 plays doing that, then our arse is beat anyway.
The two runs prior to that netted 0 yards. A one yard run from the 9 to the 8 and a one yard loss from the 3 back to the 4.
Again, if nothing else, this play was designed to loosen up and spread out the defense, so we could run, using the same formation and personnel, up the middle.

We ran a play that gave Auburn opportunities to make something happen and boy, did they. The worst they could have done on a run up the middle was a loss of 1 or no gain, barring an uncharacteristic fumble. Kaho didn’t make that block probably because he didn’t know he was supposed to. I’m sure they don’t spend a ton of time going over every possible scenario for him in a heavy package when he’s playing out of his natural position. He was carrying out the assignment he knew.
That was asking a lot of Mac who played a really solid game but there Sark put him in harms way and asked him to make a split second read then the perfect throw. Sark didn’t know the blitz was coming but that’s the risk you take and it blew up in our face.
I think it was a good play call run with less than ideal personnel and was too risky under the circumstances. Yeah, a healthy Tua probably makes that throw right in Najees hands but 90% of QBs can’t do that even under normal circumstances much less with a blitz in your face. Sark needed to remember who was at QB and it wasn’t our GOAT.

Seriously.
They literally stacked the box and killed our run, yet people are saying "why didn't we run there!".
Sark made a good call. Najee would have been open. Mac just made a horrible pass. You lob the ball to the corner and give Najee the chance to run under it.
You don't fricking throw flat route short or behind the shoulder. Those lead to picks.
