Who do you replace him with right now? You don't fire a coach, unless they truly suck, without having a replacement that's highly likely to win more. Then you end up with a mess for years unless you get a lucky hire.

I have no problem firing him for all the dumb stuff he does but I don't see anyone I would definitely rather have on the take right now.

The man constantly has a top 10 recruiting class, runs a clean program, players stay out of trouble, despite the negative crap Kirby and others spew about him he gets quality players from the state’s of Georgia, Alabama and Florida while competing against that states school, this year take away a few plays AT the swamp, Red Stick and the Dawg the man has a team in the thick of things this year. This team never quit this year and despite all that transpired Gus kept the locker room as one. But as we all know if your aunt had balls she would be your uncle. He was 17 seconds from a Natty. The man stuck by his decision with relation to the QB situation this year and must be respected for that. He has another top 10 class with only 4 spots left to fill. I would not be surprised to see the following off season changes...Greene will come out in support of Gus (never has waivers), Burns either change of position or out of a job, Grimes gone, Dillingham to receivers coach and Chad Morris come in as OC. Chad may have struggled as HC but let’s be honest... he built that monster at Clemson. He and Gus are close. Gus was never in trouble.

He has won more than 10 games as the head coach at Auburn only 1 time: his first season. Those weren't even his players, and he needed two flukey games against UGA and Bama to even get to the SEC title game. Auburn has not won more than 10 games since 2013, and cannot do so this year either.

Unless you think 7 and 8 win seasons is the best Auburn can do (with a ceiling of ten wins), I'm not sure how anyone could claim Makzahn has been a "good" coach at Auburn. His only 2 bowl victories have been the Birmingham and the Music City bowls.
