And definitely highlights that even in a down year, it’s pretty impressive what Stoops has done thus far given the program’s history.

You clearly have passionate fans, why has your football team not been better over the course of history? Thats a sad asss statistic.

Kentucky did good hiring Stoops. He has proven to be a good recruiter with his Ohio pipeline and a good HC for the most part.

It’s a combo of football not really being invested into until recently and not maximizing places like Ohio for talent. There’s not nearly enough football talent in the state of Kentucky to consistently field quality SEC teams.

Stoops should be SEC COY. He’s done a great job with the program.

That was Bear Bryant's last recruiting class at Kentucky.

Wow.

It blows my mind that any division 1 team, much less an SEC team, would be depleted to the point that you have no choice but to start a wide receiver at qb. Kentuckys done it twice and beat us one time with it. Damn near twice.

This year was a pretty freak circumstance. Wilson tore his patellar tendon on a horsecollar tackle early, Scalzo tore his ACL in the offseason, Woods has had multiple shoulder injuries/surgeries, and then Smith ended up with a wrist and shoulder injury not long after Wilson.

And Gunnar Hoak’s dumbass, at the direction of his Dad, transferred to Ohio State because he thought he could beat out Fields.

Kentucky football really hasn’t gotten the credit it deserves over the past few seasons imo. I know some of y’all don’t like Stoops, but he’s done a pretty good job building that program after Joker tried his best to burn everything down.

I like Stoops (I know some don’t think he’s “the guy”), my beef is more so with Gran. But he’s done a pretty good job, his schizo playcalling aside, of prepping the offense for the situation. I have to give him credit for that.

don't forget Danny Clark transferred as well.

As far as Kentucky not getting enough credit.. ehhh. Only thing that gets my goat is Missouri being favored against us every damn year. Well that and South Carolina always getting more preseason hype.

This stat was corrected. Classes between 1976-1979 all finished about .500.

I’m somewhat surprised to know they finished .500 in the last four years. Impressive.

Yeah it seems like the groans are getting louder since he can't seem to get y'all over the hump but imo he has.

I get that with Gran, but find me more than 5 teams who actually like their OC

Groans are getting louder? No. Not even close. Some people haven't and will never be satisfied but there hasn't been an increasing number of UK fans turning on Stoops. That's silly to say.

I didnt realize that stat. Its crazy to think that but we have had some turbulent football seasons here to say the least. Next years team looks to be absolutely loaded and the Cats are in for a special season.
