I don't mind being committed to the run. I just wish we wouldn't almost always do it out of shotgun. If Mond was keeping the ball on reads 3-5 times a game it would be one thing but since he hardly ever keeps it seems like it's pretty easy to key in on Spiller. Maybe I'm wrong but it feels like our more successful running plays come from when we run from the pistol or the two back sets.

Mond is not good at the zone read. Whether Haynes King, Zach Calzada or Eli Stowers becomes the quarterback of the future, we know all three will make better reads quicker than Mond.

Agreed, Mond had some open field opportunities against UGA but he didn’t make the right read, and the RB was smothered.
