Although we ran for -1 yard against UGA, and despite ALL of the the O line issues and clock mgmt errors, we were still in the game late because we ran the clock, played good defense, and have a good punter.

Success on Passing plays depends on our receivers not getting held.

Incomplete passes stop the clock.

Moving the chains on the ground keeps LSUs potent off the field.

Not really. Scoring more points per possession than the other guy is all that matters. Statistically we moved the chains better than UGA did. But we didn't score more points per possession.

We had more yards. More first downs. More TOP. Fewer points per possession.

So therefore, we lost.

Moving the chains and not scoring to keep their O off the field is just a method of keeping from being blown out when you are outgunned.
