State has officially negated all programmatic momentum gained by Mullen. It’s as if he never existed.

State’s football program is near the bottom in overall SEC history.

The question is then, do they fire the coach now, or do they keep him and live within their median average as a program?

To be fair they were having 2-3 win seasons before Mullen so this is still improvement from what he took on.

Man is a hero for taking that job and making it what it was all while in the toughest division in football

We won 8 games the year before Mullen was hired

Oh those summer days in 2018 when 10-2 was their worst case scenario under JoMo.

At least they don’t have to deal with that weirdo goober cuck being the face of their program anymore. Possibly a win

If a close win over a 5 win Ole Miss is your measuring stick for the program, then you're a weak AD. And that's what Cohen is

Worst case scenario was 8-5. And he found a way to do it.

Yeah, that's definitely not what y'all were saying 18 months ago.

I believe what you are referring to were all the 10+ win projections. Which a competent coach could've beaten Florida ans Kentucky that season. Maybe not LSU or Alabama on the road. But he'd also be competitive.

But nope this loser in over his head.

frick you Arkansas for somehow being worse.

From 2001 to 2008 you had two seasons win 4 wins or more.

Mullen went to a bowl every year after his first year.

Your school was a laughing stock until Mullen. Now? Right back to it. What he did is mind blowing with what he walked into.

Moorhead lights up weak defenses and gets 250 yards and less than 20 points against good defenses. I have yet to see him go toe to toe with a salty D and dial up game winning plays. Haven’t seen it.

At the end of the day, we can beat OM and go bowling. 6-6, 3-5 with some momentum for next year. Could be worse.

Ole Miss is sadly gonna boat race State this year. They are getting better every week. State appears to be getting worse.

Florida had a 4 win season in this decade as well? So be it.

Sherrill was the one that showed what MSU was. He just let it get away. Similar to what Urban did, but he quit before it got real bad.

And he walked into a pretty good roster outside of a QB. Arguably the best recruiting class he had was the one he walked into.

But I'll give him credit for keeping Crooms players.

Im not convinced of this. Many of our fans said the same thing about Arkansas.

Unfortunately I feel we win and our AD will be weak and keep Moorhead and claim that beating a 4 win Ole Miss team is progress.

We went 4-7 the year before hiring Mullen.
Also 4-8 in 2013.

I think it’ll be worse....Ole Miss beats State and your AD keeps the HC.

This is what happens when people decide to cheat. In Ole Miss case it was the coach. In State’s it was the players. Team is getting exactly what they deserve. Been better off to just cut the players and move on.

He only cares about baseball. That's why we wasted so much money on a non revenue sport. But State fans eat it up. Even though they continue to fail in that said sport.

Luckily he hasn't gotten to touch either of our basketball programs and haven't ruined them yet.

Oh sure. It was definitely the players themselves individually that decided to cheat. Just like the Mizzou or UNC players.

Certainly not a common theme at all.

..and then you won the east 2 times and fired that coach and haven't been back.
