FSU, Rutgers for sure.
USC most likely
Maybe USCe? I don’t think Nebraska or UCLA give up just yet.
FSU, USC and possibly the NFL could case some dominos to fall but as of now it looks like a pretty good year to be in the HC market.
Don’t frick this up Hunter.

The big ones are FSU and USCw.
A level down, in addition to Rutgers, I think both Mississippi schools will be open. Ole Miss is 4-6 with LSU and State left, and they may lose both. I think Moorhead takes a different job, maybe Rutgers, opening up the MSU job.
I can see USCe opening up if they lose out, which will likely happen with Texas A&M and Clemson left. Just depends on how much of a pass Muschamp gets with the Bentley injury and Georgia win.

There are some good coaches out there that are going to draw a lot of attention for those second tier jobs... and we are a second tier job now.
If I was State, Ole Miss, or Arkansas I'd take a long look at Willie Fritz down at Tulane. He has a ton of head coaching experience at the college level. He's coached in Missouri, Texas, Georgia, and Louisiana so he has recruiting ties out the wazoo.

Adding Mizzou to the list

I'm surprised he was fired
ETA: I don't know. He won 6 or 7 this year. What did he do?

Interesting that it’s official. 6-6 and a road win to finish the season.
Not that they’ll hinder our search but funny we were worried about the perception of firing Chaggit.
Wonder what obscure candidate is on their list?

I bet their fans will be throwing Campbell out there as viable.

You seem pretty sure. It's a better program than Arkansas at this point. I think we wouldnt get the guy if they wanted the same coach we do.

Mizzou just officially lost $10 MM due to NCAA sanctions, already had the 2nd lowest football revenue in the SEC, has an athletic dept. running in the red, has to buy out Odom and his staff and attract a new HC and staff, despite scholarship and recruiting reductions. Good luck.

We still have better money, facilities, and fan support than they do. We also tend to have a slightly higher recruiting ranking.

If Odom beat the Hogs all 4 years here, what will happen when they hire a real coach?
We play spring games and some SEC games in a half full dump 3 hours from campus. Our higher rated recruits end up transferring to Mizzou and catch TD passes from FHS QBs against us. But keep telling me how we're better than any other SEC schools, let alone one that routinely beats us every year.

We’re talking about programs here. We’ve had one of our worst stretches in program history, but that doesn’t mean our program has nothing to offer.
We’re going to make a better hire than Mizzou even after going 2-10 two years in a row.

You realize we had a better record before our last coaching search and we still hired Chad, right? We're not in some position of strength right now. We're firmly the worst program in the West. And it's really not close.

Miss state is probably the worst program. they're at historical highs pre moorehead. he's more a regression to the mean there then they want to admit.

They've beat Arkansas 7 of the last 8 times on the field. State is only worse than the Hogs in your memories/dreams.

And they had never won a game in Arkansas until Bielema was head coach.
