Coach Bryant owned LSU!

16-3

Yes he did, but the last game against LSU broke him. Believe he said that he never had a team take such a beating and announced not long after that he was going to retire at the end of the season.

Alabama lost to Southern Miss for Bryant's first loss in Tuscaloosa in NINETEEN YEARS. We then lost to Auburn.

Bryant announced his retirement in mid-December.
