I doubt he can just show up to these things. Either he was invited or his request was granted by someone at UA.

I'm pretty sure if he wanted to go to a football game he could just call up and tell them he was coming.

I'm guessing the president calls the senator(s) from the state and says I want to come to this game get on it.........and it happens. Especially in a state like Alabama.
