These numbers prove the narrative that Clemson is playing a much weaker schedule than the other top teams false. Based on these numbers if you were just going by SOS vs. P5 the rankings would be LSU, Penn St., Baylor, and Clemson.
LSU's Power 5 wins were against teams that are currently 16-17 (.485) vs. other Power 5 teams
Penn State's Power 5 wins were against teams that are currently 19-21 (.475) vs. other Power 5 teams
Baylor's Power 5 wins were against teams that are currently 14-18 (.437) vs. other Power 5 teams
Clemson's Power 5 wins were against teams that are currently 18-28 (.391) vs. other Power 5 teams
Ohio State's Power 5 wins were against teams that are currently 11-21 (.344) vs. other Power 5 teams
Alabama's Power 5 wins were against teams that are currently 12-27 (.308) vs. other Power 5 teams
Minnesota's Power 5 wins were against teams that are currently 10-25 (.286) vs. other Power 5 teams
LSU has wins against 3 teams (Texas, Florida, Auburn) that have .500 records or better against Power 5
Penn State has wins against 3 teams (Pitt, Iowa, Michigan) that have .500 records or better against Power 5
Baylor has wins against 3 teams (Iowa State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State) that have .500 records or better against Power 5
Clemson has wins against 3 teams (TAMU, UNC, BC) that have .500 records or better against Power 5
Ohio State has wins against 2 teams (Wisconsin, Indiana) that have .500 records or better against Power 5
Alabama has wins against 1 team (TAMU) that have .500 records or better against Power 5

I’m glad you don’t have a life as these stars are very informative and illuminating.
Also I think the gophers are complete fools gold

What’s a tougher 2 game stretch?
North Carolina and Texas A&M or
Vandy and Auburn.
The opponents records will be very similar but only 1 of those 4 teams listed pose a real threat to top teams and that’s Auburn. Everybody talks about Clemson’s schedule bc it’s all mediocre to bad teams. While other top teams play bad teams too they also have a few good teams mixed in. Clemson does not.

To be fair, we shite on group of 5 teams playing power 5 teams because “They only have to get up for 1 game”. Can’t that argument be made for the Vandy Auburn metaphor?
I’m not saying LSU’s schedule is like that because they also had UT and Florida, but just saying.

ACC blows, I know it, you know it, and everybody reading this post knows it, this is called "trying to put lipstick on a pig"

UNC lost to Appalachian St
Boston College lost to Kansas. At home. By 24 points.
The fact that those 2 have managed to go 6-6 in the ACC so far tells me all I need to know

I'd say that qualifies as a much harder schedule.

Defending national champs have little man syndrome.

Agreed, stats are absolute crap without context.
SEC officiating is biased towards Bama. I know it, you know it, and everybody reading this post knows it, it’s called "trying to put lipstick on a pig".

Interesting logic.
South Carolina who lost to UNC and Tennessee who lost to Georgia St. are only a game worse in the SEC at 5-7.

Not sure what you arguing about. The stats here list you as #1.
You SEC homers need to realize also that the committee does not factor in the AP and coaches polls. They look at numbers like the ones I've posted here.
I think LSU will be #1 tomorrow night without a doubt but I also believe there will some surprises.

You got blown out by a team that struggled with a couple ACC opponents last year while you coasted through your regular season SEC schedule.

Why are the Ben Tillman taters still posting on an SEC board?
