Bama fans- why do you think you’d get in the playoffs over a 12-1 OU?

I don’t get that argument
What would your best win be? You do realize they are about to play a top 10 Baylor on the road so they will have 3 wins vs a top 15 team
The committee isn’t putting y’all in at 11-1 with no quality wins. Sorry

Well Baylor would have lost 2 times (at least). And their best win would be.....Iowa St? Texas?
Who is this other Top 15 win? Certainly not Texas.
I don't think we'd get in at 11-1 but Oklahoma sure as hell wouldn't be the issue. Only wins over a team with no other good win in Baylor and a loss to a 4-5 loss Kansas State team.
Oregon or Utah should get in ahead of Oklahoma.

We will be 13-0 SEC champs. Why wouldn’t we get in over a 12-1 team?

LSU.
Maybe.

The committee is not going to put a one loss non conference champ over a one loss conference champ. If some Bama fans are arguing this, then they are wrong. However, with that defense OU could easily lose again. So if the Pac 12 and Big 12 conference champs are 2 loss Champs, then a second SEC team would get in, again.

Seriously, does the committee give Oklahoma the nod in a coin flip scenario with Oregon/Utah? Why?
Why would they send that same old nonsense back to lose another 49-35 game in the first round? They've proven they are the same old Oklahoma.

I agree. OU has backdoored their way in every year
Time to give the Pac 12 or Penn St/SEC #2 a shot
OU gets a mulligan every year in that shitty conference

Yea I'm not convinced at all we'd get the nod if we lost to LSU, our resume would just be too light IMHO. However, I wouldn't be surprised if they looked at a 1-loss PXII champ.

Cause we will be the undefeated SEC champs.

George all I was saying is that a one loss conference champ gets in over one loss non conference champs, and if two of the 5 major conference champs have 2 loss then a one loss SEC non champ will be in based on precedent.

Because the big 12 just so happens to suck that bad. I really don't know who would get in though. A big 12 champion that got beaten by an unranked Kansas st team, in which the score wasn't really indicative of the asswhoopin' ou recieved, or a 1 loss bama or team who's only loss would be to a playoff team. Idk man, that will be tough to call, but in all honesty they prob would make a big push to take ou in that situation due to them being a conference champion...even though we all know the sec team would be more deserving. This is why ooc strength of schedule matters so much, bc if bama had played a good team other than Duke they would probably get the nod over ou...but they did play Duke and now ou will have an argument. Will be interesting if it comes down to that tough. Still alot of ball to be played however.

Stop posting this crap. Alabama would easily be in based on reputation and better schedule. It helps to have a great brand. While Oklahoma is one, Alabama is the best!
Oklahoma is Brooks Brothers. Alabama is Gucci.

Are you going to argue Bama wouldn’t skulldrag Oklahoma?
Yeah, neither will just about everyone else.

Are you being serious or sarcastic? I do think a one loss OU conference champ gets in over a one loss Bama not a conference champ because the committee places a heavy emphasis on conference Championship. And OU is a blueblood program same as Bama.
