But I think it's going to come down to who can stop the run up the middle on first down.

Alabama's 3rd down defense hasn't been that great this year and that's because we are giving up more yards up the middle on first and second down. Usually, we would stuff those for no gain.

I know a troll a lot, but damn, this is setting up to be an epic showdown!

May the best team win!

For the first time in a very long time, I feel like LSU has the better O-Line and the better RB.

No offense to Harris. CEH just does absolutely everything to make our system work.

And I agree that might be the difference in the game.

I have no idea what to expect. Heck, it could come down to FG/PATs or STs even in a high scoring game.

No offense taken, both are great backs, but Najee has been playing his best football in three seasons over the last four or five games.

I have confidence in both Najee and Robinson going into this game.

If Najee breaks into the secondary it’s goodnight. They are bad at tackling and he will put the Riddell on em

Absolutely. I just hope this game is what it can be.

I love Najee, but I feel like we get better production when Brian Robinson carries the ball. I may be wrong, but it just feels like he does more with less carries. Najee seems to try to bounce around too much for a back his size. Sometimes I just wish he would get that ball and run it like Derrick Henry did.

You think your 3rd down defense is bad..... 75% of our whole fan base wants Aranda fired. It is sad actually.

With that said defense will be key to the game. who can cause turnovers, sacks, havoc plays in general.

The offenses are getting the billing, but defense and special teams will win the game.

FIFY

No but seriously, you’ll get nothing but agreement from opposing fans about how shite Aranda is...

Because they want us to get rid of him. That’s a good reason to keep him.

That place is insane during a game. Y'all can be up by 14, but by the topics on the rant score board, you would think y'all were down by 28.

It's very entertaining. I really wonder how many are non-LSU fans just trying to make y'all look bad..

But there are sooo many, that it would take a whole forum to make that many alters.

The sad thing is they are all LSU fans. If we miss one tackle we are the worst tackling team in the league.

LSU - 32.5% opponent 3rd down conversions
Alabama - 34.78% opponent 3rd down conversions

Honestly, we seem about even. Shame the site I get these from doesn't break it down by quarter. I imagine those numbers are way lower in the 1st half for both teams.

It’s simple. When we stop a team on third down, it leaves memory quickly.

I remember doing the LSU for our defense more than giving up ridiculous third downs against Auburn. But not everybody.

Like all fan bases, we have some idiots, If you wanna see full on melt, LSU Score board during the game is where you go to laugh. Very passionate, not always logical... fanatical, right?

Yes TT, you fixed it for me.

Ironically, I think LSU runs it down Bama’s throat to win the game

If we can run it down Auburn and Florida’s throat I don’t see why not.

For all the talk about this being some kind of shootout, I think this winds up being a defensive battle with the offenses getting wins every once in a while. Not a 9-6 game, but something like 27-24.
