He is only 275??? I hope either those numbers haven’t been updated in a while or he gains 25 pounds of muscle by next year

Is Cohen on decommit watch?

Does anyone know how many years of eligibility are left for each of the three Juco linemen we have committed?

Wiltfong just CB'd him to LSU so maybe him being there yesterday wasn't a good thing.

Sounds like Cohen has an offer from Bama. From Hank South:
quote:
Auburn offensive tackle commit Javion Cohen returned to Tuscaloosa on Saturday for the Crimson Tide’s meeting with LSU. UA came away with its first defeat of the season, but the Phenix City (Ala.) Central standout enjoyed his time.
“I thought it was a good atmosphere, good environment,” Cohen told BamaOnLine. “It was a hard fought game. LSU took advantage of a lot of opportunities that Bama didn’t. They executed when it mattered and came out with a win in a hard fought game.”
The four-star tackle arrived in Tuscaloosa on Saturday morning and met with the staff.
“As soon as I stepped foot down there they immediately told me I needed to go straight to Coach (Nick) Saban and talk with him. Me, him, and my dad sat down and talked for some time, you know, I really enjoyed speaking with him. I talked to (Kyle) Flood, (Andy) Kwon, (Charles) Kelly, and (Sal) Sunseri a lot. I enjoyed it a lot. We talked a lot about myself, Bama, and how our futures compare together.”
The message from Saban was pretty clear-cut, according to Cohen.
“Basically told me the same thing he always tells me when I come into his office — I’ve got a full scholarship to play for him and he’s going to honor my scholarship,” Cohen said. “He’ll take me whenever. Just to commit when I’m ready.”
Cohen remains committed to the Tigers, a decision he made back in June. Alabama, he says, is the only other school he’s considering at this point in the process.
“It is what it is,” Cohen said of his Tigers pledge. “I’ve got like a month to think it all out. I am interested in both.”
Cohen plans to return to Tuscaloosa for the Western Carolina game in two weeks before taking an official visit to Alabama in December. He will sign early.
“The whole way they go about stuff,” he said of what has UA in the mix. “Bama is known for having a championship program and atmosphere. Coach Saban does what he does. They put plenty of offensive linemen into the league. I think it’s the most over the last 10 years. The development system is great. Coach (Scott) Cochran is a great strength and conditioning coach and the whole training staff is wonderful. The city of Tuscaloosa is great. There’s a lot of factors I can pull as to why I’m interested in them.”
At 6-foot-5, 295 pounds, Cohen is rated the No. 26 offensive tackle and the No. 330 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite rankings.

Is there a reason we don't just immediately rescind scholly offers when they do this?
We've been fricked in the past so much, I don't know why we don't just cut our losses and move on

Because coaches aren’t 13 year old girls?

I mean isn't there an advantage to seeking recruits before signing day?
Seems waiting for us to continually get Yeldon'd puts us at a disadvantage every year. This kid is starting to sound like he's gonna sign with bama. I hope we're at least looking around

We just got a commitment from our 3rd Juco OT.. We already looked around. I want him in the class, but its not tragic if he chooses to go somewhere else. Maybe that opens a spot for someone like Tisdol.

KN said he seriously doubts we let him drag it out to signing day.
He also thinks taking Brenden was a good move giving the uncertainty of Cohen and Troxell.
It seems apparent that Cohen would like to play for bama despite being committed to us. Probably sincerely torn between his word to us, and his own desires. If he wants to let us down easily, just move on, quickly.

Fong with another foggy CB on Groce. His recruitment is all over the place

Auburn waited a really long time to offer Cohen even though he’s in our back yard And despite our desperate need for OTs. He essentially flipped from SC to AU after the offer.
I don’t feel like he owes us anything. Good on him for exploring his options and making a decision he’s gotta be comfortable with for a very long time. We’ve got grown arse clowns following these kids on twitter and they run to the message boards everytime these guys act like high school kids.

Meh. Don’t think any here is crucifying Cohen.

Just hope we hold onto him. Surprised bama has room for him
