So similar to Sherman leaving sumlin his best players for his first season, maybe Sumlin left some of his best players to Jimbo in the first season?
As frustrating as it is, we all know that while Sumlin’s classes would grade out well on paper, there were usually holes in several positions and the star talent we did have was always heavily stacked to the skill positions, when we really need depth on both lines and in other spots.
This year is just going to have to be a painful growing year, it is still a team of mostly guys sumlin recruited and jimbo has only had one season with. Maybe we can see some improvement by the end of the year, and we better damn well see improvement next season where jimbo will have two full classes of his guys and multiple years of his coaching.
