I nearly spit out my kombucha when I read this doozy of a post on HV
Is that enough for some people? We used to run coaches out with banners. And that was a coach that took us to Atlanta multiple times. Now some fans think keeping the locker room (recently expanded and pimped out by the way) together justifies losing, pathetic, shite-tier football?

If he can hold this locker room together, that will be a monumental coaching job. Give him a 3rd year for that accomplishment.

Holding the locker room together also requires team leadership. The team doesn't even know who the quarterback is halfway through the season. Are they supposed to rally around Starkel, or Hicks? They don't know. Same exact shite as last year with Storey and Kelley.

This is the most ridiculous stat of them all:
In his 19 games here, Morris has had more starting quarterbacks (5) than wins (4).

While three of those QBs no longer play football for Arkansas.
I was all for hanging in there this season to see some progression. But we aren't getting better, we are getting worse. To add insult to injury one of the QBs we lost we will play later this year and he just lit Army up like a cheap cigar.
Army took a big step back this year (losing their DC really rattled them) but is there any doubt that they would absolutely skull drag Arkansas right now?

When you are #1 you don't talk about #2.
You don't see coke talking about pepsi.

I mean it IS impressive if he can hold the locker room together after the team gets destroyed week after week. I'd have a hard time picking my head back up after about week 6.
That being said, it in NO WAY translates into the reason he should keep the job. A decent coach wouldn't have to put all his effort into holding the team together, because they'd be winning enough to take care of that.
There's not many teams/coaches in the FBS that go 2-10 two years in a row. I don't give a shite if the team is so tight-knit they're sleeping with eachother's girlfriends and giving eachother massages. Winning is what they're here for and what Chad is paid to do.
