I'm not sure how any bama fan could think that after he carved up your defense last season. The thing with fromm is:
-He's not asked to do much. he's like a souped up version of david greene.
-Our offense is practically archaic at this point and we rarely throw downfield. He's not going to put up gaudy stats, so most people looking at stats are going to dismiss him off the bat.

I have no clue what his stats are. Ever. I never look them up. Mostly because he’s just so boring to me.
It looks like he’s throws marshmallows. Or like the ball is way too big for his hand and lighter than a normal ball.
It just looks, off. So when he has a bad stretch it looks terrible. Like, “wtf is this guy doing?”

Fromm isn’t boring.
They might not like the offense he’s told to run but the throws he does make are not boring.

he had a good game but I don't know about carved up.
That said, he's still inconsistent. So was Hurts his first two years, and were he not playing in the no defense Big 12 may still be.
Still, he will be drafted ahead of Burrow if they were to both go out this year. My guess is that Fromm will return next year.
edit to note that Alabama's defense last year wasn't as good as is generally the case so it wasn't as big a thing to produce a good game against Alabama as 2 years ago and before. Unfortunately, with so many injuries and another unproven D.C. this year isn't great either.
