So, check this out.

The 4 good teams Florida has played actually suck at passing the ball.

Miami - 38th

Tennessee - 96th

Kentucky - 89th

Auburn - 100th

Averages to about 80th.

For comparisons sake, LSU is sitting at 2nd in the land.

Thats correct boys and girls. The best passing attack Florida has faced is Miami Football.

And despite this, Florida sits below 30th in pass defense.

Got to imagine Burrow is a gigantic upgrade from every single one if those QBs.

So LSU is going to score points. The real question? How is Florida going to keep pace with this offense on the road in their second straight behemoth showdown?

Tiger Stadium will be at capacity easy, and this game has been circled on everyones calender.

You got real used to the Swamp. I like our chances.

Well Burrow has amassed his stats against the following pass defenses, based on Opponents Passing Yard per game:

Ga Southern - 81
Texas - 122
Northwestern St - N/A
Vandy - 110
Utah St - 118

So I guess something has to give?

Its not easy maintaining a good pass defense after being shredded by the best offense in the SEC

Yeah I thought that too, so here are the rankings for each opponent the week before they played LSU:

Ga Southern - NA (first game)
Texas - 116
Northwestern St - NA
Vandy - 118
Utah St -115

Burrow is still clearly talented and will present a problem but he hasn’t exactly played a passing defense worth a shite either

Yeah hey, can't say 2 good things about Florida without at least 1 bad thing.

I was thinking you were hacked for a minute there.

Might as well check what kind of passing attacks these teams are facing!

bold = Top 60 passing offense

Texas
La Tech - #47 passing offense
Oklahoma State - #33 passing offense
West Virginia - #68 passing offense
LSU - #2 passing offense

Vandy
Ole Miss - #75 passing offense
Georgia - #58 passing offense
Purdue - #29 passing offense
LSU - #2 passing offense
UNI - #53 passing offense

Utah St
Col St. - #6 passing offense
Wake Forrest - #22 passing offense
LSU - #2 passing offense

Anything else tylerdumdum?

Go watch the game tapes. We played back and let teams dink and dunk on us. We blitz but play soft coverage behind it. We lead the nation in sacks and picks for a reason though, very opportunistic defense. We rarely get beat for long plays, and let teams drive till the red zone, where we have the best defense in the nation.

Not sure why we do it. Our corners should be fine in press coverage but it seems outside of Henderson they don't fully trust them. They pressed a lot more vs Tenn, then a lot vs Auburn as well and it significantly improved the pass defense numbers.

I think Burrow will pass 300 yards on us. The key is forcing mistakes and continuing to have stellar defense in the red zone.

Hopefully we press more though and don't continue to let teams dink and dunk like we did the first few games. It was annoying as shite.

So Utah St is the only team that faced a passing offense remotely close to LSU? And the next best passing offense Vandy faced was Purdue at 29? And Texas with OSU At 33?

Care to actually interpret the data you posted because all I see are a lot of average numbers for a lot of below average passing defenses

Who pulled their starting QB this week after he threw 3 interceptions in his first 7 attempts.
