Kiffin got the closest to beating Alabama. Clearly the best coach they've had.

Of course they all rank higher than Fulmer is "least number of backs stabbed".

I put them in order of when they coached in my OP. Not in order of how good they were.

Jones is by far the best coach out of that bunch. Pruitt is probably the worst.

People on here talk about Fulmer like he was their abusive stepdad for 10+ years lol. I mean it seems super personal.

I think Kiffin is a better coaches than Jones.

Pruitt is just setting some new standard for awfulness. I think he's even worse than Dooley.

If Pruitt had been coaching teams like 1972 USCw, 1995 Nebraska or 2001 Miami, I'm not completely convinced he would have made a bowl game.

Jones had two nine win seasons (2015 & 2016) and three bowl wins. The other 3 had zero bowl wins and never won more than 7 games.

The bad season Jones had in 2017 (4-8) isn't looking that bad now

The single worst season in program history. Obviously this year will likely top it lol

That's twice they've failed in plucking a former asst from the Saban tree
I would offer Venables a deal he can't refuse and get him out of Clemson

Venables has as many skins on the wall as Kirby Smart and he learned under Snyder at K State, won national title at OU and Clemson

Lost a ton of talent from last year but that Clemson D still looks legit

No. He would have been just like his offenses. Flashes of absolute brilliance mixed in with perplexing failures eventually to be undone by a lack of both personal and professional discipline. In other words, exactly what happened to him at USC.

The only question would have been if the NCAA, an angry husband, or exasperated administration got to him first.
