$120 a year? Nobody will pay that. They’ll go bankrupt....

re: The most Muschamp play ever

Muschamp seems like a good guy, at least relative to most football coaches. He just sucks as a head coach. He was made to be a DC. There’s no shame in that. He’s better than McCelwain, who sucks as an OC, and sucks even more than Muschamp as a head coach. ...

Actually, Ryan Day fired Greg Schiano. IDK if they called it a firing, but everybody knew that was the case. Schiano did accomplish the unusual achievement of getting a job upgrade after a firing. But then Belichick fired Schiano before he coached a single game. (Including a preseason game.)...
Like anybody wants Harbaugh as coach anymore....

Is Schiano really a coach that got away? Tennessee basically fired him before he coached a game since the fanbase thought he was a terrible coach. (And of course they pretended it was because of the Sandusky scandal.)...
If Pruitt had been coaching teams like 1972 USCw, 1995 Nebraska or 2001 Miami, I'm not completely convinced he would have made a bowl game. ...

Gundy's the best. He's the best coach in Oklahoma State history by far. Seriously, Les Miles and Jimmy Johnson were probably their best 2 coaches before Gundy, and neither even went .600. I find him to be one of the more underrated coaches in America. Mullen is second. Leach is third. Mullen h...
I think Kiffin is a better coaches than Jones. Pruitt is just setting some new standard for awfulness. I think he's even worse than Dooley. ...
I put them in order of when they coached in my OP. Not in order of how good they were. ...

Alabama should only be favored by about 31 according to SP+ and FPI. Plus Saban always brings out the reserves in the 4th quarter....
How is Miami #29 in SP+? That probably has as much to do with UF's overrating as anything. ...
Actually, Butch Jones was a very solid recruiter and left plenty of talent for Pruitt. Talent isn't the problem. Pruitt just sucks at coaching, even more than Jones....

SEC spreads week 5

I think both Alabama (35 over Ole Miss) and Vanderbilt (6.5 over Northern Illinois) are favored by too much. You can bet on Ole Miss for even money at betonline, which is rather nice. I've been waiting on the Vandy Northern Illinois spread in hopes it'll move to 7....
In FPI, SJSU is 112 and Georgia State is 113....
I'd be shocked if Clemson doesn't make the playoffs. They're the only team that's practically guaranteed a bid. IDK if an 11-2 UGA would make the playoffs over 11-1 Notre Dame. ND's remaining schedule is bad, and there really is no reason why they shouldn't win out. I'd have OU's playoff chanc...
Florida is 12 in FPI and 8 in SP+. However, I think both of those rankings are too high. Sometimes, the eye test is the best way to judge a team, and UF does not pass the eye test at all. Based on the eye test, I think Florida is currently a borderline top 25 team. They were a borderline top 40 t...
Anybody who's actually watched Florida play is terribly unimpressed with them. Seriously, the spread against UGA will probably be at least 2 TDs, and I'd bet on UGA to cover....
Actually, SP+, like FPI, now counts the preseason stuff for the entire year. Connelly made a lot of changes before the 2018 season, and that was one of them. ...
