I guess motion penalties don't count?

I didnt see it. I just watched the game again and we have some lazy OL
Watch the play where Copeland took the reverse and Trask made the block. Both guards climbed to the 2nd level and didnt block shite
Im beyond done with 56 at RT. I dont know what the coaches see in him to have him out there as a starter. Run and pass blocking leaves much to be desired. One play in the 4th with Emory in, we run to his side. The DE he was to block, before the snap moved outside to get a better passrush lane. This gave him a better angle for 56 to kick him out for the runner to run through behind him... nope, he lets the defender jump out upfield then fight back across him to make the tackle on the runner. Just lazy shite

Yea I think we can all agree Delance has been the most ineffective lineman so far. The left side while not perfect has been much better, except the penalties lol.
I think Gouriage needs to replace Delance out there. He is a better pure athlete.

56 has potential, but he needs to WANT to block.

Tackles gotta be aggressive. Kyle goes down, we down to Emory and a walkon QB

I know Mullen was pissed at the OL when there was a timeout and he was almost 25 yds out from the sidelines...we don't this from during games and we should hope Hevesy does something to Delance to straighten him out or put Gouriage in at ROT.
Honestly Gouriage is more suited to OG than OT because he is only 6'4"...but he has out performed the other r/s OL. Mullen in his presser we only have 6 OL right now we can count on and we need at least 2 more. OL is a tough position to learn and master. I have had 3 Gator OL who were friends of mine that played from early 1960s to late 60s. I know all too well how hard they worked.
Hevesy needs to get 2 more OL who can be counted on in case of injuries...God forbid. Its not the physical part its the mental part. This why Mullen is having practices without much contact...cause an injury could doom us.
Gouriage btw has mastered playing both guard and tackle positions...we just two more like him.

Gouriage was known as a great kid with a hard work ethic when we recruited him. Was so happy to get him over Auburn.

I heard Delance is playing on a bad ankle. If thats the case, let him heal up before he gets somebody hurt.
Trask has shown he trusts the OL, maybe too much, we cant have him take a big hit from the backside waiting for a route to open up

Yea...they need to freaking yell out or something to warn him if he isnt feeling it. We did in high school. Obviously slower paced game but it lessened our QB taking fumble sacks quite a bit

Doesn't help that Trask has shown to be injury prone. We cant have mofos running free on our QB

Yep. Same as Wilson or Davis...every time they get hit I am immediately worried they may not get up.
